INSTALLATIONS - FETISH DESTRUCTION
In the series of artworks globally titled “Fetish Destruction” Giuseppe Alletto metaphorically depicts that sort of human passion for destruction (self-destruction sometimes) in terms of a real form of Fetishism. The artist chooses to face this theme by showing scenes of death or of destruction taken from newspapers or online magazines referring to actual wars or terroristic attacks. To interact with these scenes there are some sexy female feet and legs. It’s possible to state that in these artworks you can appreciate an unusual form of contemporary erotic art and apocalyptic references. The strong Nihilism characterizing these pieces is mitigated by the irony and by the destabilising soft erotic subjects.
